Description: Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is a favourite with tourists when they come to visit on the North Coast of Northern Ireland known as the Causeway Coast area. It was originally erected many years ago by local salmon fishermen to allow them to cross over to get at their nets on the other side. It is now taken down each year at the end of the tourist season and then re-erected again the next year.
